- Felling Trees up to 380mm Diameter (formerly CS31 Felling Small Trees)
- Felling Trees up to 720mm Diameter (formerly CS32 Felling Medium Trees)
- Dealing with Individual and Multiple Windblown stems (formerly CS34 and CS35)
- Safe Use of Trimmer and Brushcutter
Usually Chainsaw maintenance, cross-cutting and Felling trees up to 380mm diameter is done on one 5 day course. This course takes one working week. It is followed normally within 2 weeks with a one day independent assessment (by an assessor who did not train you) to gain certification through City and Guilds/NPTC.
Felling trees up to 720mm (Medium trees) is a 3 day course that can be assessed by your trainer, so certification in this unit can be integrated with the training during the 3 day course.
The windblown tree course can take from two to three days depending on experience and has to be independently assessed after the course.
The Trimmer and Brushcutter courses are normally taken together. This course can be assessed by your trainer. The assessment is integrated into the course which will take one or two days depending on the number of participants and also upon the experience of the participants.
